Morning Routine

Every morning is a little different, but trying to stick to a routine is always healthy. This is just another reason I try to make EVERY morning a similar routine. I try to wake up earlier than usual (in the summer I’ll leave my curtains open so I’m subtly woken up by the sun pouring in my window… and blinding me in the face wups), I do this so I can get a start on my day. I love sleeping in, but when I wake up at noon I’m groggy and annoyed that the day is halfway over and I haven’t even started mine!

That’s why I like to get a good start to my day! Let’s get the morning started!

TEA

When I wake up, going downstairs and grabbing a cup of tea is a must. There’s something about it that just helps me get up. If you’re a coffee person, this is probably the time to go brew yourself a cup of coffee. I’ve never really like coffee, but I think any warm drink eases you out of bed in the most relaxed way possible. If I’m running late, this is probably the part I miss the most that I have to cut out of my morning routine.

MORNING MUSIC

Once I’m back upstairs with my tea, I turn on my Pandora radio usually. Most of the time I listen to my Walter Mitty soundtrack. Either way, I need some good tunes to start my morning right!

MAKE BED

I know this sounds weird, especially for a teenager to say, but I started making my bed right after I get up, and it makes you feel so much more put together. Trust me, jut try it once. It feels like you just cleaned up your whole room!

BRUSH TEETH & WASH FACE

After I’m all situated, I go into the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I just use Colgate toothpaste for the teeth, ’cause you know, bad breath is a no from me. Washing my face is has a few more steps. I usually wash my face in the shower at night, with my Deep Action Exfoliating face wash. In the morning I use my Morning Burst foam and Blackhead Eraser face wash.

GET DRESSED

Normally, if I wear makeup, I put it on before I get dressed, but on a normal school day I don’t wear any makeup, so it doesn’t matter. I thought that was valid to add… idk. ANYWAY, I’m not organized enough to set out what I’m wearing the next day, but I have a lot of neutral things I like to mix and match to keep things simple.

BREAKFAST

I usually have a smoothie for breakfast. It’s filling, but not a huge meal just for breakfast. (I might do a post on my morning smoothies, comment down below if that would be something you guys would be interested in!).

GET OUT THE DOOR!

I’m getting my license today!! So, I guess this step is a little different for me from now on! I hope this morning routine helped, and I hope you all have a great Sunday!
